Part 1

"Gabriel!"

The angel groaned, cursing silently as he literally heard Bobby Singer in his head. He had closed himself off from anyone calling for him for so long it sitll unsettled him to hear someone in his head again.

"Gabriel, get your sorry ass here right now!"

He had opened to Dean the moment they had shared a bed, even though it had taken much longer for them to admit that what they had was much more than just a casual fuck now and then and a little bit of friendship in between.

"Gabriel, I swear I'll beat your fucking ass."

After they had admitted that there was more, there had been the funny enough coming out to Sam. After that he had allowed for the younger Winchester to be heard when he called him. Which really came in handy when the stupid brothers got into trouble again.

"Gabriel! Get. Down. Here. Now!"

Castiel had followed soon after, without any real reason beside the fact that he trusted him and he had found someone out of his bunch of stupid brothers he could love. It was really wonderful feeling to touch another grace again, to not be alone. Never again, at least he hoped so.

Castiel had been just as happy about it and even though it hadn't shown on his vessels face, Gabriel had felt it in the way his grace had pulsed. Castiel knew how much Gabriel had opened up, he probably was the only one since the archangels attitude towards the others hadn't changed at all. Sometimes he desperately wished he and Dean shared such a good understanding.

”Gabriel... I'll drag you here wit a ritual if I have to idjit.”

Yeah an than there was Bobby Singer... Bobby could be a pain in the ass. A royal pain in the ass. But after one time, when Dean and Sam had been knocked out and Castiel had been banished, Bobby really hadn't been amused he hadn't been able to call Gabriel for help or reach him afterwards so he could take care of the nearly dead Dean.

Bobby had threatened, he should better listen when he was calling him or Gabriel would have one hell of a problem. And Gabriel had actually believed him, even though Bobby was just human and he was a god damn archangel. But he understood why Bobby was so protective over the Winchesters, they tended to get themselves into trouble. And somehow, he liked the gruff man.

”Gabriel!”

He sounded really pissed now and Gabriel gave up his attempts to ignore him. He would only get a headache from the constant yelling. Plus Bobby would probably really come up with a ritual to get his ass to his house. And this would really lead to mocking material for years to come. An archangel being summoned by a hunter... No he rather answered to the, well he called it prayer because rant didn't sound so full of dignity either.

“I'm here, now what?” Gabriel snapped without his usual wit. The fight with Dean had really ruined his mood.

“I think I'll leave you two lovebirds alone.”, was the first thing he heard and he turned around just to find a demon he knew far to well sprawled lazily on the sofa. No one else would be brash enough to talk to an archangel in that way. “Would hate to be a moodkiller.”

Gabriel really felt like whipping the smirk from the demons face. A little smiting didn't seem like such a bad idea suddenly. “Crowley.”, he pressed through gritted teeth.

Normally he and Crowley actually got along just fine, but right now... he just wasn't in the mood for witty word games and lame attempts at provoking. Even though those lame attempts proved to be effective.

“Gabriel.”, the King of Hell replied, the smirk growing even more smug. But he stood up, his hand casually brushing over Bobby's shoulder. Gabriel knew this was everything but casual. It was Crowley's way of showing affection and concern. And yes he should be concerned to leave a pissed Bobby alone in a room with an archangel who was just as pissed.

“Took you long enough.”, Bobby growled once Crowley had left the room and closed the door. Not that it would be of much use since once both of them really worked themselves up about something their yelling probably could be heard over a great distance.

Gabriel really was ready to reply with some witty comment and just tease Bobby to get rid of some of his anger without having to smite someone. “What have you done to Dean?”

Okay, this actually made the words die in his throats and he looked at Bobby like he had lost his mind. What the fuck was he talking about? But concern pushed aside anger, wonder, amusement and every other feeling he might have very fast. “What happened to Dean? Is he okay?”

Duh really stupid last question. If Dean would be okay Bobby wouldn't make such a big fuss about it. And apparently Bobby was thinking that Gabriel was high levels of stupid for asking that question too. “You tell me.” he demanded without bothering to answer Gabriels question.

“I've done nothing to him.” His hiss was filled with enough anger to make most beings flinch in fear but not one Bobby Singer. He just stared at him like not even being smitten on the spot could scare him off. Which probably was the truth.

When he wasn't busy fighting with Bobby, Gabriel actually wondered how a simple man could be so defiant. But it seemed to run in the Winchesters chosen family. They had after all stopped an apocalypse that most of his brainless brothers had considered to be destiny among other crap. And he himself hadn't doubted it that much either. At least not until he actually met the chosen vessels.

“Right. So you doing nothing gets him to get drunken the minute he arrives. Oh and not leaving his room also has nothing to do with you doing something. He hasn't eaten in the last two days damn it!” Bobby was practically in Gabriels face by now, probably ready to strangle him but refraining because even he knew that this wasn't a good idea. Gabriel could only agree since he already felt like taking apart the whole neat kitchen was a good idea.

For a brief moment he noticed that the kitchen was to clean for Bobby's doing and wondered who had cared to get everything in order. He really couldn't imagine Castiel being able to do this. Sam wasn't much the cleaning type either. So maybe Crowley? Now that would be odd, but there were more important matters at hand.

“If you are just going to stand there and stare at my kitchen you can leave.” Bobby snapped at him, sounding like he was about to get an archangel killing blade somewhere. His murderous glare just steeling Gabriel's suspicion. If Dean really was that bad of, Gabriel didn't even blame him for it. “You don't need to bother and come back though.”

Gabriel actually flinched at this but nodded, figuring there was nothing he could do about it anyway. Besides clean up the mess he apparently had made. Even though he had no idea how. After all it had been Dean who had been one bullheaded bastard. Okay maybe he hadn't been all that nice either. He didn't bother saying another word to Bobby, instead he vanished only to reappear in a dark room with drawn blinds.

“Dean?”
